I jumped in the deep end today... made the leap to a honest-to-goodness professional camera - the Nikon D700. I'm still hyperventilating a little because I actually spent that much money (business write-off!), but just having the thing in my hand for a few short hours has shown me that you get what you pay for. The quality of this thing is INSANE. Its got a full-frame sensor (same size as 35mm film), and the difference jumps right off the screen. I'm itching to shoot!

So I've winnowed down from just shy of 1500 shots to about 190 that are keepers. Here's a quick favorite of the night. Probably be playing with this image more before I'm done - it's one of my favorites of the whole day. I gotta say those are some photogenic guys - makes my job infinitely easier. More to come!
