For the uninitiated, Yellowstone is not only a place of extraordinary beauty, but danger as well. Most of the pictures in this series are of geothermal formations featuring water which is either at boiling or close to it, or acidic enough to eat the soles off of your boots. The park is full of danger and even death for those foolish enough to ignore the many signs! Being boiled alive would surely wreck an otherwise fine vacation.
The following two shots feature a waterfall from a geyser which dumps tens of thousands of gallons of boiling hot water into the river below every day...
The park is full of walkways which are the only safe way to explore the geothermal features.
This B&W shot seems somewhat out of place but it was the most effective way of featuring this particular scene.

were the colors really like that? and i didn't know that there was acid and such there. Cool.
