Western side sights, Kauai

The last one is the upper end of Polihale Beach, looking toward the Na Pali coastline. This beach is about 15 miles long, and only accessible via dirt roads through sugarcane fields. This is NOT a safe place to swim, as the open ocean hits the beach head on. The surf is violent, current very strong and rip currents are plentiful. Yes, there are people swimming in the picture. But as we say in EMS, "ya can't cure stupid". It's just natural selection at work. In any case, it is definitely one of the most scenic places we've seen thus far.
