By The Light Of The Moon.

Waterton Lake, Alberta.
Nikon D700, Nikkor AF 50mm 1:1.8
ISO200, f/16 for 2 minutes.

This shot exemplifies what the astronomical price of the D700 buys you. A two-minute exposure, lit only by the light of the half-moon, and there is not a hint of noise in the image. None. Nada. Zero. Absolutely amazing. Worth every penny.

wow, pretty incredible. No noise? That's what I keep hearing. My little D300 is going to be lonely for a few more years yet before I get the D700.

I know exactly where this was taken -- I used to spend a lot of time there. Miss the place.
